Lindsay Bailey is a third-year student at Harvard Law School. She has been a Research Assistant at HLS PILAC since January of 2018. At HLS PILAC, Lindsay has contributed to a project examining acquiescence concerns and “Article 51 Reports,” as well as analysis concerning the relationships between international criminal law of war crimes and international humanitarian law.

Lindsay hails from Toronto and graduated from Ryerson University’s Politics and Governance program with a Bachelors of Arts with honors. Prior to law school, Lindsay spent three years working with local governments in Ghana on taxation, planning, and project management. Lindsay spent her first law-school summer as a Summer Associate at the Public International Law and Policy Group. In her second summer, Lindsay split her summer between working as a legal intern with Oxfam’s Private Sector Development Team and as a Summer Associate at Schonbrun, Seplow, Harris & Hoffman LLP, working in human rights litigation. Lindsay is an editor on the Harvard Human Rights Journal and an editor and the Community Development Director for the Harvard International Law Journal. She serves as the President of the Law and International Development Society and the Project Coordinator for Advocates for Human Rights. She has worked as a student attorney for the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic for two years.
