Call for HLS PILAC Research Assistants - CHE Project - Fall 2017

HLS PILAC is pleased to announce a call for applications for Research Assistants from current Harvard Law School students. HLS PILAC is a research program exploring critical challenges through the lens of international law related to armed conflict. The Program combines traditional public international law research with targeted analysis of today’s changing security environments.

With this call for applications, HLS PILAC is seeking RAs to contribute to a range of programmatic activities associated with the Counterterrorism and Humanitarian Engagement Project (CHE Project). The CHE Project has produced high-level, independent, and impactful research and analysis on emerging challenges of humanitarian protection in situations of armed conflict where listed armed groups control territory. HLS PILAC RAs contributing to the CHE Project’s work may be asked to provide support to certain ongoing and new projects, such as:

  • Evaluating and summarizing empirical research studies;
  • Drafting bibliographies, research memoranda, and other resources;
  • Evaluating and summarizing news in relation to research topics; and
  • Obtaining evidence and analytical resources for research projects.

Current HLS students are invited to fill out the form below and thereby submit an application. In your application, please note whether you have a background in empirical research. We note that we anticipate receiving more applications than available positions.
