Natassia Velez

Natassia Velez is a second-year J.D. student at Harvard Law School and a Research Assistant for the HLS Program on International Law and Armed Conflict (HLS PILAC). Natassia provides research and analytical support to a project on the practice of the U.N. Security Council with respect to matters of international peace and security concerning the environment. She also assists a PILAC project regarding jus ad bellum practices and provisions.

Natassia is Editor-in-Chief for Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review and Deputy Executive Online Editor for the Harvard National Security Journal. She also serves as a Research Assistant to Professor Molly Brady. Natassia previously interned at the United States Military Academy at West Point in the Lieber Institute for Law and Land Warfare. She has a B.A. in International Relations from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
