Summary

ASEAN Regional Forums aim to foster constructive dialogue and consultation on common political and security issues and to contribute to preventive diplomacy in the Asia-Pacific region. The ASEAN Regional Forum Inter-Sessional Meetings on Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime work to facilitate meaningful discussion and cooperation in counterterrorism proposals and efforts. ASEAN Regional Forum Inter-Sessional Meetings on Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime also encourage commitment to cooperation through information sharing and capacity building to address the common threat of terrorism and crime activities in the region, with respect to the unique challenges and vulnerabilities facing each nation. Regional Forum CTTC Meetings generate Work Plans to outline ASEAN priority areas in the fight against terrorism and transnational crime.

Members of ASEAN include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
