Summary

The Counter Terrorist Group (CTG) is a derivative of the Club de Berne, an intelligence-sharing forum between various European states, which specifically focuses on counterterrorism intelligence. CTG members voluntarily exchange intelligence and engage in discussion to develop cooperation in counterterrorism efforts. CTG specifically focuses on Islamic extremist terrorism, and regularly meets to facilitate operational cooperation among the EU’s police and intelligence agencies. CTG additionally generates and communicates threat assessments to EU policy makers.
