Salzburg Forum
Summary
The Salzburg Forum is a regional organization for multilateral discussion and cooperation on internal security challenges. The Salzburg Forum seeks to promote a free and secure region and provide a platform for effective dialogue on European security issues. The Salzburg Forum implements a three-pronged approach toward meeting these goals. First, the Salzburg Forum prioritizes the implementation of a joint external strategy for member states. Second the Salzburg Forum engages in joint lobbying in the European Union policy arena, and finally the Salzburg Forum seeks to strengthen operational cooperation in Central Europe. Specifically, the Salzburg Forum operates in the fields of border management, legal and illegal migration, traffic policing, witness protection, police education and training, crisis management, travel documents, major events, DNA data exchange, and terrorism prevention, among other areas.

Members of the Salzburg Forum include Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
