Summary

Established in 2000, the Anti-Money Laundering Liaison Committee of the Franc Zone (CLAB) promotes the adoption and effective implementation of anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) regimes. CLAB coordinates members’ efforts to fight against money laundering and terrorist financing. CLAB operates as a consultation body and forum for exchange between banking and financing institutions and provides technical support to facilitate the revision of relevant regulations to correspond with FATF standards. CLAB also raises awareness of economic actors and policy makers through disseminating information on anti-money laundering and terrorist financing and through training activities.
