Summary

Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units (Egmont Group FIUs) endeavor to cooperate in the areas of information exchange, training, and the sharing of expertise to fight against money laundering and financing of terrorism. The Egmont Group brings together FIUs to strengthen cooperation against money laundering and the financing of terrorism and to facilitate the implementation of corresponding domestic programs. The Egmont Group seeks to expand and systematize international cooperation through the exchange of information, to increase FIUs’ effectiveness through training and personnel exchanges with the aim of improving personnel expertise and capabilities, and to encourage the application of technology such as the Egmont Secure Web to ensure secure communication between FIUs.
