World Bank Financial Market Integrity Program

Summary

The Financial Market Integrity Group of the World Bank works with client countries to gauge the strength and effectiveness of their efforts in the area of Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Financial Terrorism (AML/CFT). The Group conducts assessments, which are designed to provide a description of the client country’s AML/CFT regime, to identify flaws or gaps, and to make recommendations to improve the country’s framework. The Group works with its counterparts in the International Monetary Fund (IMF); international and regional organizations, such as the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF) and the FATF-style Regional Bodies (FSRBs); and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
