Vaishnav Rajkumar is a second-year J.D. student at Harvard Law School and has been a Research Assistant for the HLS Program on International Law and Armed Conflict (PILAC) since September 2025. Vaishnav is currently contributing to research exploring the role of international humanitarian law in mediation. 

 

Outside of HLS PILAC, Vaishnav serves as co-Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard International Law Journal, Executive Technical Editor for the Harvard Human Rights Journal, a member of Harvard Law School's Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot Court Team, a clinical student for the International Human Rights Clinic, and a student attorney and project leader for Advocates for Human Rights. He is also the recipient of the Salzburg-Cutler Fellowship for his paper exploring the role of the public in international humanitarian law. During the summer of 2025, Vaishnav worked at TRIAL International, Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina as a Chayes Fellow. In the winter of 2026, Vaishnav worked for the International Law Commission. Vaishnav received his B.A. in European Politics from King’s College London in 2022, and an MPhil in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge in 2023.
