Claire DiMario, PILAC Research Assistant, Spring & Fall 2015

Claire DiMario is a Research Assistant at the Harvard Law School Program on International Law and Armed Conflict (PILAC). At PILAC, Ms. DiMario supports the Counterterrorism and Humanitarian Engagement Project—conducting legal and policy research on the challenges of humanitarian protection in areas of armed conflict where listed armed groups control territory—as well as the project on International Counterterrorism Efforts. Ms. DiMario also contributes to PILAC’s engagement activities with states, intergovernmental organizations, and NGOs.

Ms. DiMario is a graduate of Amherst College (B.A. cum laude) and is a second-year student at Harvard Law School. As an undergraduate, Ms. DiMario majored in Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought with an interest in the legal and policy facets of the use of force and conduct of armed conflict, the intersection of counterterrorism regulations and individual liberties, and the dynamic nature of war and warfare.
